Banking – Formless Banking by reducing DD/Challan usage and computerised DD entry to print automatically by printers, online portal to pay fees for all Govt exams/Govt universities/MSME/MNREGA workers, ATM-cum-money deposit machines at all branches by 2017

Filling forms is a tireless exercise at banks and processing time is affecting severely for bank employees and customers.
DD and challans must be reduced at banks. DD Requests must be placed by customers in online or mobile banking of the bank and within 1 hour the printer at bank office must automatically start printing based on requests and charged from their account directly. So in case of any issues they can visit branches and correct again in tablet or laptop provided to print exactly as per customer request. A online DD sample can be placed with customers typing virtually on screen and computers printing automatically. Currently DD being typed by Bank employees is taking so much time and effort in heavy demand branches like near colleges, MSME, schools, etc,. So DD being automated by using computers at branches and online will help all and save time. Resetting passwords for internet banking, mobile banking, pins inside internet banking are not easy to reset currently
MSME and all govt agencies which use DD to make payments must move towards online payment through centralised portal to pay for exam fees and avoid these DD and entering banks for each payment related to govt agencies. All govt exams of centre/govt enterprises/universities/govt stake holding educational bodies, training institutions must move to this portal immediately. States can also be given access to this portal for their exams if interested.
Govt agencies must avoid cheques for payment and must try to use the above centralised portal to pay for contracts fees to road constructers, aadhaar based payment to MNREGA workers, etc,. To overcome cheque processing and direct transfers from govt accounts to private contractors and also to govt to easily do accounting and assimilation and avoid paper work at all stages and reduce Govt staff bribery at each stage of district, state and central level. Govt staff hold cheques and delay to contractors to get bribes. Online portal will clear many files.
Banks say that they don’t have change at sometimes and ask to fill challan for each transaction. Filling challan if reduced with innovative ideas which only bank employees have to think of it will save paper and work for bank employees. And smile in bank employees will be restored. One solution which SBI has to reduce paperwork is by using ATM – cum- money deposit machine at major branches to make all customers avoid withdrawing cash from clerks. But many public sector banks still have not completely followed the rule of ATM at all branches which was set by previous govt. And many have no cash board in ATM.
RBI must fine banks which don’t refill ATM with cash within 5 hours. Many times customers are put to so much trouble when we see most of the ATM nowadays not working and closed for no cash. Banks must effectively fund ATM operations.
RBI and Govt must put up some funds for banks around 50 crores per bank to setup ATM-cum- money deposit machines at all Govt schools/Bus stands and also in areas where there is no branch or ATM for 5 kms. This will have immediate effect in remote areas. These branches can operate with solar power and inverter. No A/C needed. Web cam to monitor from nearest police station and nearest branch of bank and at central office at live feed.
